Yes speccwolf. Most judges are not fully qualified to make such decisions. They are but lawyers and lawyers have made a business on peoples suffering. And to go further, what if it was not sex but race was a deciding factor, as it is now? People would be up in arms. The sexist approach courts all over the world take is just as bad RACISM!! Joint custody should be the starting standard, less lawyers would get rich and there would be less animosity between both parties.

Family at War…….When a relationship ends the family goes to war. Everyone accepts that financially that the Father should contribute towards the child but the child needs more then money from their dad
If you love your children don’t let them live in a War Zone. The two people they love most in the world are “At War” how do you think this effects them. Come on we are the Adults. Please Share for the Sake of Little Children end the War and declare Peace.

Women are better at bringing up children ? Its those narrow mindedness opinions that creates stereotypes disadvantaging the other gender. It shouldn’t be black and white, only shades of Gray depending on circumstance, with the child’s well being the necessary priority, simple.

Parents like Simon deserve justice, he has not had any contact with his own children for 8 years, despite having a contact order saying he can, the courts wouldnt enforce the order and they seemingly have now been alienated against him – he can only hope they will vote with their feet once old enough

Its good to see so many taking the time to find out about RFFJ and what they have to say, as a child both of my parents spent time with us and we as children loved them both equally. Then mom said It would be best if dad did not live with us. Dad used to see us at weekends then mum told us that dad did not want to see us anymore, as children we felt that we had done something wrong we never new that dad had been fighting In the family courts for years and that mom had ignored all the orders.

Thank you for your reply although I differ on one aspect. Nature vs.Nurture. I have known some of the most loving parents to have children who are horrid and vice versa. I believe genetics play a major role in determing who we are and become. It’s very important to be emotionally involved with your child from birth, be non-judgemental and LISTEN to what they say or what they are not saying. Unconditional love and praise are essential. Potential parents ought to be screened. It will happen.

Well if there was more mothers like you then i think this world would be a happier place, the future is our kids, and its how they are reared at home, i think the only think that can be done is how the kids are teached at school, i also think mothers and fathers should do parenting classes at school with there kids, and parents should do relationship counciling, think we are all going to need these classes soon.

I am a mother and I would die for my son. What I meant to say, is that not all women make good mothers, sad but true. Sometimes the child/children are better off with the father. Ideally, both parents should put their differences aside and share responsibility for their children. I was unaware that men commit suicide over this and find it disturbing and very sad. Children have the right to see and know both parents, unless the parents are a risk. I meet streetkids and want to take them all home!

23flowergirl, yes yur right there, children suffer, and i agree woman are better bringing up children, but children need father just as much as mother. This is the real world tho today, kids have to be strong to get there life on track, Danny (stives)

It’s a comon misconception that the children are always better off with the mother. Not all mothers love their children enough to put aside differences with the father for the good of all. It’s selfish and just plain wrong. Very sad. The children suffer the most in this twisted saga of revenge.

For a mother to be so consumed with anger and hate that she does not see the burden a child bears as a result. I cannot begin to imagine how these fathers must feel. The stress and anxiety, endless court visits, financial pressure, depression….how can one not suffer mental health problems as a result.

Wonder how the MP’s feel now

Wonder even if they really understand

what they do not understand is that

DNA is for Life.

Unfortunately, I am not able to probe beyond this to find the common cause. What suprises me is that those who can, are fairly quiet. At least Bob Geldof didn’t just walk around shaking his head, as usual he did something, but such foundational problems are not in the domain for pop stars to fix.

Let those who know and understand please stand up and tell us plainly.

Only recently has the public face of “DV” allowed for men. It was the exclusive domain of women. So, the feminist dimension often comes up in discussions and articles. I am quite sure that many of the so called victims are actually the perpetrators but it is not possible for the system recognise it.
When the children in a school are no longer able to make Father’s day cards, it shows that the problem is already deep rooted, and in the process of undermining the society we depend on.

Apply the same logic to this problem, it is clear that many things are broken at the same time. The CSA was a heartless unresponsive machine; cafcass struggles, and some of them genuinly believes they do their best, but is a disater. Even the complaints dept, is a disaster.
The judges seem to be “limited” by something and are so inconsistent. Even when they see through the situation clearly then seem unable to act. The solicitors are more interested in their money. They know something’s broke!

As an engineer, when I repair equipment I start by tring to find a common cause. I.e if the fuse has blown, nothing at all works and the fault is easy to find. The same also when something partly works I still try to find what the failing functions have in common and it is not always easy. Infact, is it very easy to reach the wrong conclusion.

What in your opinion is the real cause of this?

It is really great to see the support on this page, but I want to make an important point.
In physics there is a law of “cause and effect”. The disaster now destroying families, children and parents (mostly fathers) is an effect. If someone doesn’t put their finger on the cause so that the REAL cause is dealt with then this support and encouragement will just go on forever! It is easy to blame lots of things ( I have my own favorites from my experience) but we need to know the REAL cause.
